More and more artists are successful as independent members of the entertainment industry. Their success is based on self-distribution, self-promotion and self-fulfillment. They are successful without any binding contracts with agents, publishers or corporates. The definition of the term “Independent Artist” varies in different entertainment branches, but they all seem to share similar methods: do it yourself, promote yourself authentically and have a strong online persona.
