Thomas Vogel, working as a Character Artist for Ubisoft Blue Byte, Duesseldorf. He has been working in the games industry since 2007.
His latest work was champions of Anteria were he was repsonsible for the overall look and feel of the characters. He worked on a couple of titels like battleforge, ikariam,
Thomas mentor game design students at the MediaDesign High school in Duesseldorf besides his work at Ubisoft .
Thomas teaches students with modern workflows which are used in game development. Besides the artistic skills he teach them how to work together with different people, game designers programmers and artist are all different. His goal is to shape up team players for the German industry. Besides his path he is keen to learn new techniques and willing to push the technical limitations for next gen realtime content.

Blue Byte, a Ubisoft Studio

Blue Byte has a long history of developing AAA PC games such as the beloved build-up strategy series The Settlers® which debuted in 1993 and ANNO® for which the studio began overseeing the production in 2007. Blue Byte opened its doors in 1988 and was acquired by Ubisoft in 2001. Since then Blue Byte is located in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany and expanded in 2014 with the acquisition of a new branch in Mainz. Recent projects include Anno 2205™ which brought the acclaimed city-builder series into space and Champions of Anteria™, a new Real-Time-Strategy experience. Blue Byte also works in close collaboration with other Ubisoft studios on projects such as the PC version of For Honor™ and post-launch content creation for Rainbow Six® Siege. Additional teams work on browser-based and mobile games, like The Settlers® Online and Assassin’s Creed® Identity. In 2016 Blue Byte is celebrating 15 years of being part of the Ubisoft family.
