Michal Nowakowski has been working within the Polish games industry since his early carrer dating back to 1996 where he was co-running a couple of local print games magazines where his responsibilites ranged from editorial to business related (licensing of covermount versions of full games sold with magazines). He was also responsible for two kiosk game series at Egmont and Axel Springer publishing houses, where he worked amongst others on Polish editions of SkiSpringen with Adam Malysz licence for cover picture and product placement (almost 300 000 units sold of the most succesfful installment in Poland). For the past 8 years Michal Nowakowski has been working with CD PROJEKT group, at first as a Head of Licensing responsible for purchase of License for games, and import of console games republished in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary; then as a Director of Licensing for distribution part of the company, and in the end as Managing Director of Polish, Czech, Slovakian, and Hungarian distribution offices. In 2010 joined the Board of the holding public company listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange (CD PROJEKT S.A.) as a VP of Business Development with his key area of focus on growing The Witcher brand, and development studio's business on a global scale, working with such companies as ATARI, Namco Bandai Partners, and Warner Brothers amongst others. He has also been a member of the audit committee for SPIDOR – Polish gaming industry's official body responsible for contacts with ISFE and Polish Government
