Mariusz Szypura is the owner and CEO of a Warsaw-based independent game developing studio called Telehorse.
Szypura studied at Poznan University of Technology. He has worked for advertising agencies as a graphic designer and creative director, running hundreds of campaigns and projects. He has co-operated with major record labels and designed several album covers. One of them was Silver Rocket’s ‘Tesla', for which he won the Fryderyk Award. The list of album covers includes works for the Grammy winner Włodek Pawlik and many Polish bestsellers.
What is more, Mariusz is an experienced musician with more than a dozen records under his belt.
Mariusz Szypura has always been a huge fan of indie games. Telehorse allows him to pull all his skills together and develop video games on his own. He makes games with Unity 3D, he also composes and produces soundtracks.
The first game released by Szypura’s Telehorse is called Steampunker. The game was awarded the Indie Prize for Best Game Art at Casual Connect in Belgrade, as well as being nominated for the Indie Prize at Tokyo Game Show and Casual Connect in Singapore San Francisco and Tel Aviv. Steampunker was voted App Of The Year 2014 by the users of SlideDB website and the Best Entertainment App in the Polish Appaward competition.
Currently Mariusz Szypura is working on his second game called Steamburg, to be released in the first quarter of 2016

Steampunker was the first game released by the Telehorse studio in 2014. The game was initially launched for iPads only. Following a successful fundraising campaign at Indiegogo, Steampunker is now available for iPhones, as well as Android phones and tablets.

Steampunker was also presented at TOKYO GAME SHOW in 2014 and TAIPEI GAME SHOW in 2015. For TOKYO GAME SHOW the game has been selected as one of few European productions and the only one originating from Poland. Famitsu App nominated Steampunker for the INDIE PRIZE at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2014.
In 2015 Telehorse began work on a new game called Steamburg. Although it is still under development, with the planned release date in Q1/Q2 2016, it has already been well received.
