Mario Baumann is an entrepreneur and a veteran in the gaming industry with in-depth knowledge of consumer trends, emerging technologies and extensive background in the EMEA online markets, with special focus on Turkey. Having held leading roles at pioneers like Wargaming and JoWood for more than a decade, Mario developed sales strategies and brand identities for high profile free-to-play, console and PC games.
In 2006 Mario co-founded Vanilla Live Games, the first publishing label for 3D skill cash gaming and joined UOL BoaCompra’s global business team in 2012 to launch the digital goods payments company into the rapidly expanding games market of Turkey.
Founded in 2004, UOL BoaCompra specializes in monetizing online games, servicing more than 3,000 games across in Latin America, Portugal, Spain and Turkey. As part of Brazil's largest internet company and content portal, UOL BoaCompra's portals aggregate more than 1.2 billion page views per month and the company’s own currency is available in more than 120,000 POS across Brazil and Turkey. Several of the largest gaming companies including Valve, EA, Riot Games, Bigpoint, SmileGate and Aeria Games partner with UOL BoaCompra to bring their games to emerging markets that operate on non-traditional payment methods.
