David Smith is MD of global games recruiter Interactive Selection which he founded in 1996.
He founded the non-profit Women in Games Jobs (WIGJ) professional network in 2009 to benefit both men and women working in the games industry. Now with over 4000 supporters worldwide (and 160 in Germany) it is the largest network for women in games in Europe. David will be sharing some of the initiatives that are taking place and planned in the UK to recruit, retain and support the progression of women in the games industry by positively and actively promoting female role models and giving encouragement and information to those women seeking to work in games. WIGJ receives no external funding and is dependent on volunteers and sponsors to fulfil its brief. He is also a Chartered Accountant and Vice Chairman of the Technology Sector Group of UK’s Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
