Dr. Christian-Henner Hentsch works as a Legal Counsel for BIU, the German Association for Interactive Entertainment Software, since January 2016. Before he represented the VG Media, a collecting society for broadcasters and press publishers. In the last legislature period he was working at the German Bundestag and was in charge for politics on copyright and internet law for the the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. He also is a lecturer at the Kölner Forschungsstelle für Medienrecht for copyright and media law.
The German Trade Association of Interactive Entertainment Software (BIU) is the interest group of providers and producers of entertainment software in Germany. The association and its 25 members represent over 85 % of the market for computer and video games in Germany and are the main contact partner for political and social institutions, the media as well as the general public when it comes to games. The association was established in 2005 and has its headquarters in Berlin.
