Short CV

Benjamin Rostalski studied political sciences in Berlin until 2010. During his studies, he started testing digital games for the German age rating system (Entertainment Software Rating Board - USK). In 2010, he became a projects’ manager with USK. Since 2011, he heads the award committee of Germany’s National Videogame Award (Deutscher Computerspielpreis). In 2012, he joined Digital Games Culture Foundation (Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur). It strives to increase the acceptance of digital games and highlights their relevance in society, art, culture, research and the preservation of the digital heritage.

The Digital Games Culture Foundation advances both acceptance and relevance of games in society. It initiates, supports and encourages projects highlighting different aspects of Gaming Culture. It considers itself a dedicated and enthusiastic yet critical promoter of Gaming Culture.
