ARTHUR CHOW is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of 6waves, a leading global publisher of Facebook and mobile games, reaching over 20 million active users worldwide. Arthur leads the operations and M&A/partnership activities of 6waves and is also involved in the company’s overall strategy formulation and its execution. With his leadership and innovation in leading 6waves to such remarkable achievements, Arthur was selected as the winner of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2012. Prior co-founding 6waves, Arthur had worked in Yahoo!, Turner Broadcasting and HSBC. He graduated with a Business Administration degree from Richard Ivey Business School (Canada), and then completed his Law degree with The University of London and Master of Business Administration with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He has been featured by HSBC as one of the top business leaders in Hong Kong in a commercial campaign in 2015 and has been awarded a Power Profile status by LinkedIn as one of the mostly viewed CEO in Hong Kong.
6waves is a social and mobile gaming publisher and developer. Founded in 2008, it has worked with partners all over the world including publishing hit games like Kingdom of Camelot, Ravenwood Fair, Mystery Manor, Happy Harvest and Fish Epic. The company has expanded into the mobile space and achieve remarkable results with it cross-platform game Emoji Pop, which became the Top 1 game for 5 weeks in Hong Kong and Taiwan App Store and Google Play. The English version also hit the top 5 free apps spot in the US App Store. The latest mobile strategy game Age of Three Kingdoms 《逐鹿三國》also reached the Top Grossing chart in Hong Kong and is one of the top grossing non-Japanese games in Japan. The company has over 150 staff with offices in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, and Taipei. The group has completed Series A and B funding from US-based venture capital Insight Venture Partners and leading games company Nexon from Korea.
