Alex Hutchinson is currently Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal, working on an unannounced project. Previously hedirected Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed 3 for Ubisoft, as well as Army of TWO: The 40th Day for Electronic Arts. Games he has directed have sold over 20 million copies and have won various game of the year awards and even the odd BAFTA. He was also a Lead Designer at Maxis in California, on titles such as Spore, The Sims 2 and more. He has written on games for magazines such as Edge, Games™, PC Zone, PlayNation and The Official PS2 Magazine, among others. He has spoken about games at DICE in Las Vegas, GDC in San Francisco, E3 in Los Angeles, the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany and delivered the 2012 design keynote at GDC Europe.
