Changing the look of a mesh while the game is running offers many possibilities, including visual effects, damage and other scene enhancements. Mesh modifications can be achieved both via C#/JS scripting or through HLSL functionality within a shader. Sometimes using one is better than the other and this talk will go beyond the fundamentals of run-time mesh modification and explore the pros and cons of both CPU and GPU based methods.
